Nautgardstind

This peak can be reached from several sides. The easiest way is probably from Glitterheim. From here you can follow a marked path towards the canyon between Nautgardsoksle and the easter Hestlægerhø. After Veo you keep left where the path splits. After a while you leave the path and follow the edge of the glacier (Nautgardsbreen) upwards. The stone road gets steeper at the end.The trip lasts about 5-6 hours to and fro. Remember the road is closed about 8 km before Glitterheim.

Other alternatives are walking from Hindseter , the tractorroad towards Russdalen or from Russli. ( Parking at Huldrestigen by rv 51. The alternatives from Hindseter and Russdalen are relatively easy in the beginning, from Russli you go more directly upwards, directly to the top. No matter which route you choose it`s a rather long march,you must count 7-8 hours to and fro.

A third alternative is to walk from Storknoken in Veodalen. This is easy to recognise as the water from Veo goes through a pipe line to Tesse. Drive towards Tesse from Randsverk. The easiest way is to walk into Stornautgarden and keep walking up the ridge(?) south-west of Båsen. From the top you can enjoy the view of Jotunheimen. From the top of this mountain you have a unique view!
Tip: If you want to walk on several mountains during the same day this is a splendid opportunity. From Nautgardstind you can walk on to Hindnubbane and Stornubben.(2174m) as the highest of the 3 tops .
